So Close

Our 1-800 was approved yesterday!!! It is our approval from the USCIS to adopt the child we are matched to. Another step closer to getting our little boy.

What's next?

Our officer will forward our approval to the NVC (National Visa Center). NVC will upload our approval into their system and cable (send) our approval to the US consulate. Then the NVC will issue a letter stating they have done this.

So now we wait for our NVC Cable and then our Article 5. Can't believe how close we are.

"I'm Gonna Love You Through It" - Martina McBride

This morning GMA aired Martina McBride's new song "I'm Gonna Love You Through It". If you haven't heard it or seen the video be prepared. It is a 2 hanky video. Britten was watching it with me and after it was over he said "those mommies are gonna be angels". Not sure what made him say that but it made me cry even more than the video. Enjoy.

Care Package Sent

Now that we have our RA we can post our little guys picture and we can now send a care package. Our agency recommended we use a service called Lady Bugs and Love. They are in country and can get the package to the orphanage faster than if we tried to send it ourselves. Plus, the fee includes translation. This is a huge plus since we know little Mandarin. I know this little package looks small but we are hoping for a large return. PICTURES and UPDATES!!! We sent a letter that thanked the nannies and care givers for all that they have done for our little boy and we sent a camera that we asked them to take pictures with. Can't tell you how excited we will be to get to see new pictures of him. We also sent Landry a stuffed panda bear and a photo album that has 10 photos of our family with labels so that he can become familiar with our faces and names. It is a great feeling to know that he will know who we are now. We pray that even though he will not understand all that will be happening that he will feel joy when he sees our faces. Not too much longer little one. Not too much longer.

Introducing Landry Michael!!!!

We got our RA/Referral Acceptance from China today!!! Check out the sweet face of our new little man. Looks like we'll be traveling early to mid November. YAY!!! This little guy will be home for Christmas!!!
