A forever changing phone call

On Thursday, April 28th we got a call that has changed our family forever. It was our family coordinator from America World telling me there was a referral that she thought we might be interested in. A little boy from Guiyang China!!!

She told me she had just emailed me all his information and that we had a little more time to review his file because he is agency specific instead of on the shared list. Our agency has partnerships with 2 orphanages in the Gansu and Guizhou province and these children are not put on the shared list. I didn't ask her any questions and was eager to get to my computer. I called Jason as soon as I hung up. I think he was a little stunned since we really weren't expecting a match until we had a log in date with China.

We have spent hours pouring over his file and pictures. We consulted with our doctor and requested more updated information. His file was over a year old and so were his pictures. We waited a week before we got the update but when we finally got it we just knew he was to be a part of our family.

On Wednesday, May 18th our electronic acceptance was sent to the CCCWA.

We are overjoyed and excited to introduce you to our son.

His Chinese name is Hua Guo Qing Ke but to us he will be
Landry Michael Patrick

His birthday is October 19, 2009 and he is 19 months old.

I can't post his picture until we get approved by China which we are hoping will come sometime in June.

Please pray with us for health, safety and that he is loved until we can get to him.
