We got our RA/Referral Acceptance from China today!!! Check out the sweet face of our new little man. Looks like we'll be traveling early to mid November. YAY!!! This little guy will be home for Christmas!!!

A Sweet Gift

Wanted to share a sweet gift we received yesterday from The Holloway family. Just LOVE what they had inscribed on it and just had to share. If it is hard to see I think you can click on the photo and it will open a larger size in another window.

We have our LID/Log In Date!!!!

We have received confirmation that our dossier was logged in to the CCCWA on 6/20/11!!!! Since we have accepted a referral for our son, at this time the wait time for an RA/ Referral Acceptance for a dossier submitted directly to the special needs department is 2-4 months. Looks like our wait to show you his sweet little face might take a while. Until then, we're working on puzzle pieces and hope you will help us complete a sweet memory for Landry. Check out my last post for more details on how you can help and as always continue to keep him in your prayers.

Piecing Our Family Together

As we continue on in our journey to bring home our little boy from China, we trust the Lord to meet our every need. Many of you have inquired about how you can support us in this process. First and foremost, you can include us in your prayers. We ask for safety for Landry as he waits and for us as we travel to bring him home. Second, you can stand ready to love on him once he arrives. We will certainly need your emotional support. Lastly, some of you may be in a position to offer help financially and we would welcome your support. We purchased a puzzle with Landry's sweet photo on it and when you donate $10, we will write your name on the back of one of the puzzle pieces. When complete, we'll frame it and hang it and Landry will forever have a mosaic of names of the people who were a piece of his puzzle to help bring him home. Please note that you can purchase as many pieces as you would like, whether that be 1, 2, 5, 10 or more. If using PayPal, just add the name/s you would like on your pieces in the memo section. If donating by cash or check, simply include a note with the names you want listed. One name per piece or one family name per piece. We would also like to ask that you help us spread the word through your blog, Facebook or email so that others might have an opportunity to help bring another orphan home.

Kung Fu Panda 2 and Adoption

Jason took the kids to see Kung Fu Panda 2 tonight while I went out with my fun and fabulous college girl friends. It was a great night but I'm a little bummed I missed all the fun at the theater with the kids. Can't wait till this one comes out on DVD. I'll be getting a copy of it for sure. If your kids are the right age (probably not a perfect fit for Britten but Jason said he hung in there even in the scare-wee parts) you may want to consider taking them to see this movie. It has a really positive message about adoption. So neat.

DTC/Dossier to China!!!

Oh, what a feeling to be dancing on the ceiling!!! I know this is a huge relief to my sweet husband that has worked very hard to get all of our dossier off to China while I am away visiting family with the kids. Everything has been notarized, and certified and I don't want to forget authenticated too. Then hand delivered to FedEx and on it's way to America World for approval so it can be off to China on Monday.

We will now just wait for an LID/Log in Date. The Log in Date is the date that our paperwork is logged into China. After our LID we will wait around 6 months for a travel date. What a LONG wait it will be but we are also filled with HUGE excitement in knowing we are getting one step closer to seeing the little boy God has handpicked to be part of our family.
